Photos of models at our 2003 show

We will start off with a half- scale model of a John
Deere type E gas engine, built by renowned model maker Jerry Keiffer, of
Deforest, WI.

Jerry Kieffer, of Deforest, WI, is
shown here with his display of models. Jerry is a very talented and highly
regarded model maker and it is a real treat to have him at our show.

Jerry
Kieffer, of Deforest, WI is the builder of this 1/6th scale model of a 1947
Harley - Davidson motorcycle engine. Jerry's long term goal is to build the
entire motorcycle.

Another of Jerry's models is this
1/8th scale model of a 1936 John Deere model D tractor. The photos here do not
do justice to the detail and quality of work that Jerry puts into his models.
They must be seen in person to be fully appreciated.

This nice little engine was
built in Germany about 1910. It is owned and displayed by Jerry Phelps, of
Baraboo, WI.

Gene Hehl, of Poynette, WI is
shown here with his model engine display. Gene has done a lot of work getting
our model building set up and running for the show, and we really appreciate his
efforts.

Stan Kosek, of Cedar Rapids,
IA is shown here with part of his model display.

A close-up photo of part of
Stan Kosek's display shows a steam engine driving several miniature machines,
including a table saw, a milling machine, a drill press, a shaper and a power
hammer.

Here we see a scale model of
a Big 3 Washing Machine belted to a 4 cycle hit and miss engine. Both of these
models were scratch built by Stan Kosek. Big 3 washers were built by three
brothers in the hardware business in Racine,
WI and the design was eventually sold to the Speed Queen Co.

Stan Kosek, of Cedar Rapids,
IA, has this nice display of commercially built toy electric motors. It might be
hard to fathom that these were toys for some very lucky boys nearly a century
ago.

Miniature motors built and
owned by Tom Enderson of Jim Falls, WI.

This 1/3 scale model of
a 4 hp Monitor engine is owned by Bill Nicholson, of Stoughton, WI. Monitor
engines were built by baker Manufacturing of Evansville, WI and were both well
built and aesthetically pleasing.

Don Rick, of Neenah, WI had
this large display of engines and gadgetry, including this interesting food
chopper built by L.S. Starrett, of Athol, MA. Starrett is better known for their
high quality machinist tools.

Roland
Gleisner, of Jefferson, WI, built this 1/7th scale model of a Caterpillar model
D2 Tractor, replicating even the most minute detail accurately.

This little tractor is
patterned after an early International Harvester tractor and is owned and
displayed by Fred Kulig, of Whitehall, WI.

Harvey Oswald, of Sparta, WI
built this 1/3 scale model of a Flour City tractor using a Kohler Engine.

Alfred Krueger, of Arpin, WI keeps his crew busy with his miniature
sawmill, powered by his model of a Rumely Oil Pull built with an IHC LA
engine.
