Autos & Trucks, 2003

Circus
World Museum, of Baraboo, WI, owns this Mack "Bulldog" model AC. Built by the
International Motor Co., of New York, from 1916 until 1939, the model AC was
given the nickname "Bulldog" by the American Doughboys who used the 4,470 model
AC's that were sent to France during World War One. The AC was well known for
its strength and reliability in military service, and that undoubtedly helped
sales following the war. By the time production ceased in 1939, a total of
40,299 of these trucks were built. The Bulldog name was so widely used that in
1932, the mascot was officially adopted by the company and has adorned every
Mack ever since.
