You are cordially invited to
The Great Hog Oiler Roundup
at the
46th Annual
Badger Steam and Gas Engine Club
Show
Baraboo, Wisconsin
August 21, 22, & 23, 2009
Please join us at this reunion. Hog oiler collectors all over the
country are being invited to this event, so we all have the opportunity
to meet with friends not seen in several years. We encourage you to
bring your hog oilers, salesman samples, related advertising, and other
hog related items to this show. We will have a reserved shaded area
for our exhibits.
The Badger Steam and Gas Engine Club has
its own 146 acre show grounds, located between Baraboo and Wisconsin
Dells. The area is rich in natural beauty, and there are many
attractions, restaurants, motels and campgrounds nearby to provide
entertainment and comfort. Bring your family, because there are plenty
of things for them to do and see in the area if they are not as keen on
your hobby as you are! Some attractions in the immediate area include
Circus World Museum, International Crane Foundation, several water
parks and other attractions in the Dells.
Our show has grown
since we have moved on to our own land. The 2009 show will feature
Case, and one of our members will be completing the restoration of a
110 hp Case steam traction engine for this show. Last year, Club
members worked very hard to complete the Fuller and Johnson Museum for
the show. We have a permanent restroom with showers for campers.
There is food on the grounds, for breakfast, lunch and an early
supper. There are many chairs and benches distributed around the
grounds, and shady areas to sit for a spell. A free shuttle service
travels around the grounds during the show. Handicap parking is
available near the front gate. Handicap permits are available for
those who need to use personal transport inside the grounds e.g. golf
carts, etc.
Primitive camping (no electrical or water
hookups) is available on the show grounds for exhibitors only. It is
$10 for Wednesday thru Sunday. The camping contact is Grace
Schellenberger (608) 356-9221 or click here for online information.
Exhibitors are admitted free. There
is always night-time security patrolling the grounds at our show, but
there will be additional security solely for this exhibit as well.
